The growing challenges of hunger, soil degradation, climate change, and supply chain disruptions demand immediate action from all of us. As Yara, we recognize that we need to take part in it. We will do everything in our power to lead a food system transformation to restore our soils, cut emissions, and improve access to healthy food.
That is why we, driven by our purpose, science, and more than 100 years of agronomic knowledge, are committed to giving back to the Earth more than we take. Growing a Nature-Positive Food Future, our new ambition is our commitment to being part of the solution and the reinforcement of our purpose to responsibly feed the world and protect the planet.
For Yara, the Pulse is a metaphor of the “heartbeat” of Earth, a rhythmic symbol of all life on the planet. It reminds us of humanity's connection to Earth, and our shared duty to protect nature. We want it to become a symbol for our ambition – Growing a Nature-Positive Food Future.
Watch our film about the unifying phenomenon that connects us all.
Reducing emissions from agriculture, shipping, and energy industries
Protecting nature by promoting farming practices and products that give back to earth more than it takes
Improved livelihoods by growing farmers' prosperity and increasing access to healthy food
“Yara advises our community on nature-positive practices that are more sustainable and improve the soil. When I found that they also uplift women, I had a partner in two of my strongest passions.”

Digital tools like Atfarm can make farming more sustainable, profitable, and efficient. This tool analyzes crops, soil health, and weather conditions and enables farmers to manage their fields with high precision and more efficient nutrient management. This protects soil health and supports nature while securing an optimal crop – a win-win for the farmers and nature.
In California, climate change has seriously impacted the almond industry. MyAlmonds program supports growers with solutions that positively impact food production, soil health, and water use efficiency. Those who joined the program have achieved double-digit improvements in nitrogen and water use efficiency, disease reduction, and increased nuts quality while reducing carbon footprint and land usage, and an increase in profitability.
Women represent almost half of the world’s agricultural workforce. Yet, their role is underrepresented, harming their access to resources. Yara’s Women in Agronomy program is committed to increasing the awareness and position of women in agriculture by attracting, empowering, and retaining more women in this field. The aim is to pave a world where women in agribusiness can flourish and grow.
Plastic damages the environment at every stage of its life cycle. At Yara, we seek to reduce the environmental impact in every aspect of our operations, including the virgin plastic of our product packaging. Globally we have multiple initiatives that reduce, re-use and re-invent the use of plastic in the food value chain.
